JHONEN VASQUEZ

CENTRIFUGAL BUMBLE-PUPPY CHAMP

DONE!  Just finished Steakfist’s Escape Into Dimension Ten v2, and I realize I haven’t eaten at all today, so I think I’m going to go celebrate in the most appropriate way by eating a salad ALL NIGHT LONG!
These will be on sale at the San Diego Comicon later this month.
I’ll upload more detailed images of this for a Mindspill post, but I just wanted to show this lil version for now while I’m feeling incredibly awful from malnourishment!

Steakfist digital version progress.  Just a little comparison to show the general difference in feel from the original acrylic on wood painting and the digital painting.  It’s still early on and the digital one will get roughed up a bit more, but it will definitely be on the smoother side.  I was pretty happy with how the original ‘Steakfist’s Escape Into Dimension 10’ turned out and was sad to see it go, but it’s got a good home and it gave me an opportunity to revisit it in futuristic computer form.

The plan is to have these done as giclee prints through Gallery Nucleus to have ready by the San Diego Comicon, so we’ll see how that goes.
