A video of the ZIM voice actors reading one of the un-produced episodes at INVADERCON that Rikki linked to on his Twittuh recently.
The fascinating thing, for me anyhow, is watching these guys play to a room full of people who are just going crazy for this stuff that they know by heart while I honestly can barely remember writing this script! I watched this video thinking “This stuff is GREAT! Possibly the greatest stuff ever written! Tell me” I said, turning to the person next to me, “what masterful writer dream-engineered this wonderful word-magic?”
Really, though, I can recall thinking up some of the main ideas in the script they’re reading, especially the bigger elements like Skoodge just appearing in ZIM’s house and beginning to be a regular character in the series, along with jokes I wanted to get in there, but watching this was pretty much like watching an episode of something entirely alien to me, which only made it funnier.
What’s even funnier is watching Richard Horvitz read ZIM’s dialogue without anyone there to modulate the highs and lows, resulting in a ZIM that’s turned up to 11 and only 11. Rest assured the front row at that reading was speckled with blood from Richard’s throat.
obnoxious, like most Zim fans. Fucking faggots.
must go to this years because its the last i guess D:
